House bill could slip in legal immunity for pesticide giants

The Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill sets federal funding for everything from national parks to wildfire management. But buried inside the House version is a dangerous rider: a provision that would grant pesticide manufacturers legal immunity by locking agencies and courts into outdated safety reviews — even if new science shows harm or the original data was fraudulent.

This rider offers no protection for public health; its only purpose is to shield chemical giants from accountability.
