Walmart, General Mills and ADM expand regenerative agriculture program
Walmart, General Mills and ADM have announced a collaboration targeting 40,000 acres of wheat production in Illinois, Indiana and Missouri.
According to the companies, ADM will provide participating farmers with technical assistance and financial incentives to adopt regenerative practices intended to improve soil health, water quality and carbon sequestration.
The project forms part of a broader Walmart–General Mills initiative launched in 2023 to support regenerative agriculture across 600,000 U.S. acres by 2030. The companies also describe the program as a way to strengthen farm economics and the resilience of wheat supply chains serving Walmart and Sam’s Club.
